This volume features 66 women who participated in the 1956 Revolution as freedom fighters, Red Cross activists, or distributed food supplies or flyers. Some of the women are little-known, while others are famous revolutionaries, such as Ilona Tóth and Mária Wittner, both of whom divide public opinion to this day.
