Highgate Cemetery. Gravestones, regarded as dangerous by the caretakers of the cemetery. Some are cracked, some are removed by the root of a nearby tree, some are with a missing cross or statue. These new forms seem to be more characteristic than the simplified inscriptions ‘In loving memory…’ . All the exhibited paintings, drawings, and the woven picture present a piece of the Highgate Cemetery in London, although the texts are not real inscriptions of gravestones. The walks I took in the cemetery, the sketching of broken forms and collecting inscriptions correspond with my process of identification: a personality expressed in one sentence.
