Robert McCarter is the author of the Marcell Breuer monograph published by Phaidon Press in 2016. The comprehensive work details the lifework of the world-renowned Hungarian architect and designer, from Bauhaus through his collaboration with Walter Gropius, his European-built buildings and furniture, to his activity in America.
Robert McCarter is a practicing architect and a professor at Washington University in St Louis since 2007. Formerly, he was the director of the Florida University Institute of Architecture and a lecturer at Columbia University.
