György Háy: From Flying Cars to Intelligent Drones. Additional Groundbreaking Planes.
Typotex Kiadó 2021
Journalist Péter Márványi in talk with the author
It already seemed during the collection of materials for the 2014 volume Groundbreaking Planes that the topic is endless. During the first, historic one hundred years of planes and flying, the designers of such objects came out among the usual flying structures with surprisingly new and peculiar ideas, and they definitely could not fit into one book. Hence, the second book has now been finalized, but the picture is still deficient. Imperfect even after cruelly excluding most of those phantasmagorias that existed on drawings but could not be built or pass the test of flying. The complete presentation is also impossible because the wave of daring idea has been ongoing. Since the release of the previous book, we have passed milestones, such as the first fly around the Earth that was based solely on solar power, or the entrance of passengers to space, or the technologically perfectly usable flying cars’ entry to the market, even if they are not affordable.
