On the occasion of the World Day of Art Nouveau, the members of the Danube Transnational Programme (Belgrade, Vienna, Budapest, Bucharest, Ljubljana, Oradea, Subotica, Szeged, Sofia and Zagreb) will host an exhibition on the region’s Art Nouveau. The purpose of the event is not only to celebrate Otto WAGNER and Marcell KOMOR’s anniversary, but also to show the diversity of the Art Nouveau movement along the Danube. The exhibition is grouped around three themes: Otto WAGNER and his students, Ödön LECHNER and his students, and other Art Nouveau endeavors.
The main organizer of the international exhibition is the Museum of Applied Arts, a partner of the Art Nouveau Heritage Protection Program for the Danube.
The project is implemented through the Danube Transnational Programme, supported by the European Regional Development Fund, co-financed by the European Union and the Hungarian State.
