The condition of the Opera House’s mural decorations

Ancient Building Researchers Association

6pm 12th February, 2018

Lecture by:
Nándor SZEBENI (architect and painter)

The restoration of the Opera House’s mural decorations was finished in 1984, on the 100th anniversary of the building’s completion. Over thirty years of wear and tear has once again made the restoration of mural decorations timely. The lecture uses the findings of the 2017 inventory to present the decorations’ past history, current condition, and suggestions for their preservation.
