Ing. Pavel ŠTĚPÁN (chairman / Association of Czech Architects)
At the end of 2015, the Association of Czech Architects celebrated the 150th anniversary of the establishment of its predecessor, the Society of Architects and Engineers of the Czech Kingdom. It was founded on the initiative of architect Josef TURBA, and it was personally authorized by Emperor Joseph Francis in 1865. It is one of the oldest associations of engineers in Europe, and although its structure and name changed over time, its mission remained the same.
The exhibition will acquaint visitors with the best of contemporary and modern architectural works in the Czech Republic, as well as the social significance of Czech architects and engineers, merited not only for the functionality of their works but also for their aesthetic value.
